Paris Motor Show 2022: state-of-the-art electric

The Paris Motor Show promises to bring its share of electric novelties, and among these many of the most original models. Thus, there is no doubt that visitors will flock to the stand where the Microlino will be exhibited, a two-seater micro-city car whose design is directly inspired by that of the famous BMW Isetta, marketed between 1955 and 1962.

Billed at around €15,000 excluding bonuses, the Microlino will box in the category of “real” cars.

2.51 m long, 26 cm longer than the ancestor, the Microlino announces a maximum range of 230 km and a top speed of 90 km/h. Unlike the Citroën Ami with which it is spontaneously associated, the Italian is therefore only accessible to holders of a driving license. A curiosity, certainly!

In Europe, Jeep is heralding a low-emissions future. Demonstration by example with the small SUV Avenger.

Also to be discovered in Paris, the very original Jeep Avenger, a small format SUV, cousin of the Peugeot e-2008 and DS 3 Crossback and other Opel Mokka-e. On the program, an autonomy supposed to be close to the 400 km accompanied by optimized off-road capabilities thanks to ground clearance and significant angles of attack and flight, in the Jeep tradition. Very pleasant design, in any case.

However, it is on the side of the Chinese manufacturers that the electric offensive promises to be the most spectacular. Among these stands out Byd, about whom Caradisiac has spoken to you a lot in recent weeks.

Three models will be exhibited in Paris: the Tanga 7-seater family SUV, theAct 3a compact 4.46 m crossover (same size as the star Peugeot 3008) capable of traveling up to 420 km with its 60 kWh battery, and finally the Hea large sedan 4.99 m long and with a range of 521 km (85.5 kWh battery).

To these interesting novelties will be added in particular those of the Renault group, which will of course exhibit the highly anticipated R5, a city car supposed to take over from the Zoé by 2024, but also the 4L revisited, whose teasing started several months ago.

Let’s also mention the concept car Scénic Vision, with hydrogen, as well as theAlpine E-ternity, which foreshadows a future “zero emission” berlinetta. And at Dacia, we will discover the Spring under its new face.

In terms of high-end, electrification reshuffles the cards: even small manufacturers can hope to quickly move upmarket and compete with well-established houses. This is the ambition of the French Hopium, with its interesting Machina Vision.

Other surprises are expected in particular from the Stellantis group (Peugeot, DS), but also from Hopium, a French start-up which will exhibit the Machina Vision, foreshadowing of a large premium hydrogen sedan. And all of this will make this 2022 edition of the Mondial de l’auto the trendiest…until the next one!

Caradisiac, partner of the Paris Motor Show

As in 2018, Caradisiac is once again a partner in 2022 of the Mondial de l’Auto which will take place in Paris from October 17 to 23. The Caradisiac editorial team will thus be relocated to its own stand for the duration of the show to analyze, dissect, photograph and film all the new models.

And this will of course also be an opportunity for you to come, as you are used to, to meet our journalists. Which new or used car to buy? They will answer all your questions. Until then, we will give you on Caradisiac all the information that we could have obtained from the manufacturers on their new models.
